Yes, but only in rare cases like microsoft did when they first sent their IPO out. Basically it is very rare but it can happen, it has to be a new company that offers a very new product that everyone wants or needs.

How big would this Company have to be to issue trillions of shares so that millions and millions of people could buy enough to become millionaires?

Would not work – no company is that big… we all would be working for them… imagine what will happen when they finally go belly up when reality sets in and their share prices go back to real value of a fraction of a penny each?

No. If you have a few hundred thousand dollars worth of shares already it is quite possible that the value could become a million. But few people have a few hundred thousand dollars worth of stock to begin with. The old saying is “It takes money to make money.”

A million million is a trillion dollars. Each million people would take at least a trillion dollars to become millionaires.

The total value of all the stocks in the market is not that big.

And for people to spend the money they have to sell that stock. Where are you going to find the millions of people willing to buy a million dollars in stock each?

Where does the money come from?
