My friends are earning a lot of money by investing in shares. I am at the verge of my retirement . I want to do something after my retirement to earn money. If you are on the verge of retiring, your main focus would be investing, while protecting your capital. Your best option would be more secure investments like fixed interest investments e.g bonds etc, esp. because you are on the verge of retiring. In your case, stocks might not be a good idea, esp. if you have never had experience with stock/share market investing.
